Bucket List

There are many places I have at the top of my list for places to check out in my lifetime. They mostly involve paddling, but it’s really about getting outside, in the wilderness.

Lake Powell I’ve experienced Page, AZ, a camp Northwest of there in Utah, Glen Canyon Dam and saw the lake from the shore, but from what I’m told and what I’ve read, this lake has an incredible amount to offer. Scenery, seclusion, wilderness and beauty. Someday.

Verde River Rachael and I had a very short rafting trip on the Verde while we were in Prescott. The weather was rainy and the water was high and not very boney. There were no real rapids to speak of, but it was fun none-the-less. I would like to paddle this river as a multi-day trip. It’s such a remote river, there are few other choices but extended trips.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) In my quest for “nearby” wilderness, I found many, many references to BWCAW. It’s an incredible looking place and I can’t wait to get there. This photo by Bien Stephenson under the Creative Commons attribution license
